Tit for tat, tea leafs and bag is a dance piece about the power of impressions in good and bad. “The beauty is withering. Nothing is clean and even tea tastes bitter if the moment has already passed.”

Tit for tat is a contemporary duet about grief. The line of thought carried out in the piece is to show extreme trust between two people and at the same time imply that all of it would soon come to an end. The milieu of the piece consist of a candle lighting up all by itself, a few pieces of furniture and a long, red dress. The piece has it’s discourse with Finnish dance theatre heritage and evokes it’s own interpretation of the vitality of contemporary dance scene today.

Tit for tat, tea leaves and bag was the first-born piece of Kinetic Orchestra dance company, introducing the movement language of the group as a combination of varied classical lifts, capoeira-like falling and stage presence in the manner of contemporary dance theatre.
